The mineral waters of Albert Canyon were allegedly discovered by CPR workmen at the turn of the century.
They built a timber enclosure at the site of the springs as this was used as a pool until the townsite was abandoned when the CPR removed the maintenance post. The Albert Canyon "ghost" town remains a short distance south of the present pool site...
